Girl Scouts Hold Centennial Celebration

Girl Scouts from a local Rahway troop will celebrate the 100th anniversary of their civic organization at the historic Girl Scout House in Rahway on June 30 from 10 am to 2 pm. The event will take place at the Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum, 1632 St. Georges Avenue, Rahway. There will be 100 activities taking place at the milestone event including a bridging ceremony, scavenger hunt and cookie station featuring original recipe cookies. There will also be the opportunity for participants to win raffle prizes, earn a special centennial badge and taste samples of girl scout cookies baked using the original “Early Girl Scout Cookie® Recipe” created in1922.  

The Girl Scouts USA Centennial Celebration and Reunion is free and open to all current and former girl scouts and troop leaders as well as their families. The event is also open to anyone interested in joining the organization.
