Local residents are invited to come in from the scorching summer heat and cool off inside Menlo Park Mall during its first Christmas in July celebration on Saturday, July 28, 2012, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., and on Sunday, July 29, 2012, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.
The fun-filled, two-day family event will include store specials from participating Menlo Park Mall retailers and other area vendors. As a special treat, visitors can head over to the Nordstrom Wing and take a few cool turns around an indoor skating rink brought in just for the occasion.
And what would Christmas be without a visit from Santa Claus? That’s right! The Jolly Old Elf has left his red suit and winter boots behind at the North Pole and will make a stop at Menlo Park Mall, sporting his coolest summer duds. Visitors will find him at Santa’s Summer Cabana on the Lower Level of Center Court, where they will be able to take photos with Old St. Nick and possibly even slip him an early copy of their holiday wish lists.
