Earth Center 'Eco-Adventures' Open to Middle School Students

Fifth to eighth grade Middlesex County students are eligible to attend the Eco-Adventures at the Earth Center, a summer day program sponsored by the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County. The event will take place in the Earch Center building located in Davidson Mill Pond Park on Riva Avenue in South Brunswick.

Environmental stewardship will be the focus of the week long program. Different themes will be illustrated each day including Resource Conservation, Addressing Climate Change and Ecological Issues. Teambuilding skills and hands-on activities will be part of the program. There will be a field trip Wednesday. Arrangements can be made for students with special needs.

The cost of the program is $110. The fee includes program materials, a peanut free snack and beverages. Each participant will also receive a gift at the end of the week. Meals are not included. Pack a lunch for your child. Call 732-398-5261 to register for the program. Register your child by August 1.

The event is sponsored by the 4-H department of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County.
