'Bowl For Hunger' Set For July 17

Assemblyman Craig J. Coughlin (D-19) in partnership with the Raritan Bay Medical Center Foundation and Middlesex Water Company will hold the third annual β€œBowl for Hunger” on July 17 at the Woodbridge Bowling Center. There will be a bowling session from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and a second session from 8 pm to 10 pm.

The goal of the fundraiser is to raise money to buy food for the roughly 30 thirty area food banks and soup kitchens. Close to 60 corporate and individuals sponsors have already made contributions and over 350 bowlers are signed up for the event.

Sponsors include Berkeley College, Carpenters Local Union No. 254 Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters, DuPont, Gerdau, Hatch Mott MacDonald, the New Jersey Dietetic Association and Woodbridge Center Mall.

All bowling spots are filled but residents are welcome to attend the event. Businesses interested in sponsoring the event can call 732-855-7441. To make a donation, write a check to the "Raritan Bay Medical Center Foundation" and mail it to 471 Lawrie Street, Perth Amboy, New Jersey 08861.
