Attend The Civil War Weekend Event

The annual Civil War History Weekend will take place rain or shine on August 4 and August 5 at Parker Press Park. Camps will be open from 10 am to 4 pm with a special 150th anniversary ceremony scheduled to take place at 8 pm on August 4. Saturday night's festivities will include a candlelight tour of soldiers' camps and civilian areas from 8:30 pm to 10 pm.

Soldier drills, weapons demonstrations and Civil War displays are some of the activities scheduled for the weekend event. There will be Civil War books and other items on sale. A contest and prizes is also scheduled to take place.
