The Woodbridge Township Animal Shelter is hosting an animal awareness day October 15 at James Parker Press Park on Rahway Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some of the shelter animals will be available at the event which includes vendors, food and a pet costume contest. Come and see the many wonderful dogs and cats in need of a good home -- or bring your pooch to the park donned in a costume and be eligible to win a prize.
The event is free. Rain date is October 16. If adoption is not in the picture for you and your family, remember you can always foster an animal too. Help a doggy out!
