Eric LeGrand Completes Rutgers Degree

LeGrand announced Wednesday that he has completed his degree at Rutgers University.

The ever-positive Eric LeGrand is celebrating another milestone: the completion of his college degree.

LeGrand announced the degree completion Wednesday on his Twitter feed.

"Thank you for the congratulations on finishing my degree at Rutgers. Definitely has been a journey since I got hurt but I did it #noexcuses," LeGrand tweeted on Wednesday afternoon.

LeGrand was paralyzed from the neck down in 2010, his junior year at Rutgers, during a game against Army.

Since then, the Avenel resident has served as a figure of inspiration and determination as he goes through rehabilitation with the goal of walking again.

Last year, Rutgers University retired LeGrand's player number, the first occurrence in the history of Rutgers football.
