Woodbridge BOE Reorganizes

Board member Brian Molnar was appointed as board president.

Board of Education member Brian Molnar was appointed to lead the dais and re-elected members John Golden and Jonathan Treibwasser took new oaths of office at Monday's BOE reorganization meeting.

Golden was re-appointed to serve as vice president of the board.

Board member Brian Small was also re-elected to the board this past November, but was not present at Monday's meeting due to a work conflict, Molnar said.

Small will take his oath of office before the next board of education meeting, he said.

The brief meeting included the approval of board meeting dates for 2014, the majority of which will now be held at Woodbridge Middle School. Board member Daniel Harris said he supported the move, as the school is a more central location in the township.

Molnar said the middle school also has central air, making it suitable for meetings year round.

The next public meeting involving school board matters is a public hearing scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 in the cafeteria of Woodbridge Middle School. The hearing is intended to give the public a forum to voice comments on the proposed 2014-15 school year calendar.

The next official board of education meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Jan. 16 at Avenel Middle School.
