'Outstanding Accomplishments' Defined Class of 2013, WHS Principal Says

Principal Lee Warren described the achievements of the class during graduation.


"The Class of 2013 demonstrated outstanding accomplishments," Principal Lee Warren explained at Woodbridge High School's graduation ceremony on Wednesday.

Here are just some of the Class of 2013 accomplishments for the 2012-2013 school year:

  • Five perfect scores of 5 on AP exams
  • More than 84 percent of seniors will attend post-secondary schools
  • 118 seniors received monetary awards equaling over $60,000 at Senior Awards Night
  • The first ever Mr. Woodbridge winner
  • Marching band received 1st place at two of three competitions
  • All choirs received an excellent or superior rating
  • Show choir received the best overall rating with a perfect score of 100
  • Show choir won the sportsmanship award and best soloist award at the Parx Competition in Virginia
  • 23 All-Greater Middlesex Conference winners
  • 15 All-Middlesex County winners
  • 17 All-Area winners
  • 3 District 19 wrestling champions
  • One Region 5 wrestling champion
  • One 1,000 point scorer in basketball
  • 3 girls indoor track individual state sectional champions
  • 2 girls indoor track Athlete of the Year
  • 3 winners in the GMC swimming championships
  • 2 girls outdoor track GMC championships
  • Girls volleyball white division Coach of the Year
  • Boys basketball white division Coach of the Year
  • Boys bowling red division Coach of the Year
  • Girls indoor track Star Ledger Co-coaches of the Year
  • Disqualification free in athletics for 2012-2013 school year

Each accomplishment read aloud by Warren was met with loud cheers from students, staff and parents. 

Warren cheered, "Wow we are the best."
