Got Kids in the Woodbridge Public Schools? They're Coming Home Early Today

The impending snowstorm has caused the Woodbridge School District to announce that schools today are shutting early. Read the schedule below.


All 24 of the schools in the Woodbridge School District will be closed early today because of the impending snowstorm.

The storm, which may dump as much as 10 inches of snow on the area tonight, is forecast to begin Friday afternoon.

The schools will follow the early dismissal plan, according to a notice posted on the Board of Education website. That means:

  • High schools will be dismissed at 12:10 pm;
  • Middle schools schools will be dismissed at 12:45 pm;
  • Grades 1 through 5 schools will be dismissed at 1:10 pm;
  • AM kindergarten and AM preschool disabled schools will be dismissed at 11:35 am;
  • PM kindergarten and PM preschool disabled schools will begin at 10:30 am and be dismissed at 1:10 pm

Regular breakfasts will be served at all schools, and regular lunches will be available at all elementary schools, but not the middle or high schools.

All after school events, and after school childcare are cancelled as well.
