Former Woodbridge Super Makes List of Highest Paid County Superintendents

Former Woodbridge Superintendent John Crowe listed with 7th highest salary in Middlesex County.

Middlesex County Regional Education Services Superintendent Mark Finkelstein topped the list of highest paid superintendents in the county, nj.com reports. 

John Crowe, who left his position as Woodbridge Superintendent in December of last year and is now a principal in the district following a standardized test cheating scandal, was seventh. His salary was listed at $202,475.

Retired East Brunswick Superintendent Jo Ann Magistro was second on the list, followed by New Brunswick Superintendent Richard Kaplan, according to the report.

Finkelstein topped the list with $246,359, according to the report. The Middlesex County Regional Education Services is among the largest special education districts in the state, according to the report.

The report lists Magistro as making $233,965, followed by Kaplan, at $230,000.

South Brunswick Superintendent Gary McCartney was sixth, making $202,248. 

Information was provided by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) and didn’t include bonuses or other non-salary compensation.
