Blowing Bubbles to Beat Autism

Matthew Jago School Students in Sewaren will try to beat the Guinness World Record, all with the idea of raising money and awareness about autism.

The children at Matthew Jago School #28 in Sewaren have a grand goal in mind. They're participating in the 10th Annual Blowing Bubbles Challenge, with the goal of beating the bubble-blowing champions, noted in the Guiness Book of World Records.

The bubble blowing will be held at the school at 99 Glen Cove Avenue on Monday, April 22. Everyone will meet on the blacktop outside the building at 12:30 pm, with the actual bubbling to begin at 1:15 pm.

Students and teachers at the Matthew Jago School have been fundraising all month long, in honor of April's designation as Autism Awareness Month, said teacher Jeannette Gruskowski.
