Problems with County-Owned Property on Harrell Avenue in Woodbridge

Open Space on Harrell Avenue in Woodbridge needs attention.

There is a piece of open space land on Harrell Avenue that needs some attention.

The pathway from this area going into Woodbridge High School is a disgrace.  It is muddy when it rains, there is branches and logs strewn across this path and the entire property, dead trees and brush surround it, garbage all over the place and the fences along the peoples property are falling down.  The children that walk to school each day and the Woodbrige football team pass through this area daily and could be hazardous for them at times.   I would not call this area a greenspace at this point.

The county should do something about this property and create a safe walkway by either filling it with stone or possibly paving the area.  Keep the whole plot of land clean and well maintained. Fix the fences and maybe put a few garbage cans around so everyone will use them instead of the ground.  This location, so far, is just an eyesore and takes away the value of homes on Harrell Avenue.
