The primaries will be held in Woodbridge on June 4.


Primary elections take place in Woodbridge Township on June 4. The primaries let voters decide what candidates will be on the ballot come the November election.

The following candidates are running for council seats in Woodbridge:

1st Ward
Democrat: Nancy Drumm
Republican: John Vrtaric

2nd Ward
Democrat:  Richard Dalina (incumbent)
Republican: Margaret LaTorre

3rd Ward
Democrat: Michele Charmello (incumbent)
Republican: Kathy Kolvasky

4th Ward
Democrat: James Major (incumbent)
Republican: Thomas A. Sobe, Jr.

5th Ward
Democrat: Debbie Meehan
Republican: Christopher Struben

Current 5th Ward Councilman Robert Luban (R) of Colonia is running for the 19th District State Senate seat against incumbent Senator Joseph Vitale (D).

Polling locations are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. to find out your polling location fill out this online form.

Don’t forget, each polling location is collecting non-perishable items and canned goods as local high school students assist in filling food banks throughout the township.
