Woodbridge Profiled in McGreevey TV Expose by Ex-Wife

Want to see the streets of Woodbridge? Dina Matos, the ex-wife of former Woodbridge mayor and NJ governor Jim McGreevey, takes a stroll down Main in the program, "Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?"

The street sure looks familiar.

It's downtown Main St. in Woodbridge, and the pretty blonde woman is the ex-wife of former NJ governor and two-term mayor of Woodbridge Jim McGreevey.

Dina Matos, who divorced McGreevey after he resigned the governorship in 2004 because of a scandal involving blackmail and his sexuality, signed on with the program "Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?" to profile what happened in their relationship.

Matos stood by McGreevey when he announced his resignation from the governorship. The two ultimately divorced after an acrimonious battle which included a secret financial settlement and the custody of their sole child.

The "Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?" program usually focuses on women who were had no idea when they first married that their wonderful husbands would turn out to have dark pasts or secret lives, such as being Mafia hitmen, big time embezzlers, or murderers.

The Matos/McGreevey episode was a slight departure for the show's producers, according to a statement in the New York Post.

“We actually went after her. She’s been on our list from the beginning,” said ID executive producer Pamela Deutsch in the Post article.

“I had some reservations,” she said. “Most of our stories have to do with some kind of criminal element, but because [McGreevey] was such a public figure and this truly was about deception, it made sense for our format."

The Matos segment of the program premiered Wednesday night. It will be rebroadcast on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 7 pm and on subsequent days and times.
