Veterans Groups Hold Forum Today to Get Vets the Help They Need

Know a vet who could use some direction? This is the place he should be this morning, Oct. 1.

Know a veteran who could use a little help with the puzzling and often overwhelming array of services and benefits offered for their military service?

Plan to attend this morning's Veteran Outreach Forum at the

Sponsored by the Middlesex County Veterans Advisory Council and the Woodbridge Veterans Alliance, the program on Saturday, Oct. 1 will bring together military and veterans affairs groups, organizations, and individuals, along with local, county, state, and federal government service providers, to point vets in the right direction.

The free event begins at 10 am, followed by a panel discussion from 11 am to noon.

Among the representative groups who will hold forth are: the NJ Department of Military & Veterans Affairs; VA Health Care Systems, Department of Veterans Affairs; NJ Veterans Memorial Home; New Jersey Office of the Attorney General; Rutgers University Veterans Services; and the NJ American Legion.

State Senator Joe Vitale, Assemblyman Craig Coughlin, and Mayor John McCormac will be in attendance, as well as other local and county officials.
