Township Extends Tax Bill Payment Deadline

It's not a tax break, but a breather on this quarter's tax payments.

Hurricane Sandy brought a lot of misery to the area. But Woodbridge, joining many other municipalities, is extending the deadline for homeowners to pay their property taxes.

Residents now have until November 30 to pay their quarterly taxes without accruing interest, the township posted in a notice on their homepage.

Taxes are normally due November 1. This year, that was the still when Woodbridge and the rest of central Jersey was digging out from the wrath of the hurricane.
