St. Patrick's Day Parade Set for Sunday

It's the 39th year for the traditional Woodbridge parade that will be making its way down Main Street at 1:30 pm.


Don't plan on taking any rides down Main Street tomorrow.

That's when the township will be taken up in celebration of the 39th annual in Woodbridge, which is set to begin at 1:30 pm and run to about 4 pm on Sunday, March 11.

The parade sets off from l on Sam Lupo Place and wends its way down Freeman Street, to Linden Avenue, and then to Green Street. The parade route will turn onto Amboy Avenue and makes its way to Main Street and end at .

Approximately 100 marching units and bands, including bands from the township's schools, are expected to participate. 

John “Sean” Keaveney, who will serve as the parade’s grand marshal, is a native of Ireland. He is the director of the Woodbridge American Irish Association, served in the U.S. Army for 25 years, and is a life member of American Legion Post 89, the Warrant Officers Association and the Military Officers Association of America.
