Interfaith Clergy Council Honors Dr. Martin Luther King

The famed civil rights leader's birthday will be honored at a ceremony tonight at the Woodbridge Community Center.

In honor of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Woodbridge Interfaith Clergy Council will be hosting a celebration of the slain civil rights leader on Monday, January 21, at 7 pm at the Woodbridge Community Center.

Other participants slated to be involved in the celebration include the First Baptist Church, whose choir will be singing at the event, the Woodbridge School Board and administration, along with Mayor John McCormac, Council President Charles Kenny, and members of the town council.

Members of the Interfaith Clergy Council will offer remembrances of Dr. King, while a combined choir from all three of the township's high schools will join in a variety of choral selections to recognize the importance of the day.
