The governor thinks math and science teachers should be paid more than gym teachers. What do you think?
Gov. Chris Christie said he does like gym teachers. Really.
In his latest clash with members of the NJ Education Association, the governor said yesterday that math and science teachers should be paid more than teachers of physical education.
Christie was at a press conference in Secaucus Wednesday, where he was pushing bills to reform teacher pay and tenure. The governor bristled at questions about what teachers of various disciplines should be paid.

"Cut the crap, OK?" Christie said. "You know I don't hate gym teachers, but I don't think any parent would say that gym is more important than biology."
That didn't go over well with NJEA spokesman Steve Wollmer: "What does he have against gym teachers?"
