Home Repair Program for Woodbridge Homeowners Seeks Volunteers

If you need your home fixed up and you're on a limited income, or you want to help, "Tooling Around the Township" is for you.

Keeping up a home is tough when you're older, on a fixed income, or disabled. a Woodbridge program offers relief.

"" an effort where volunteers and businesses pitch in to do extensive work on the residences of the elderly and disabled who can't physically or financially complete needed repairs on their homes, is coming on April 28.

The township's Housing Authority, which handles the paperwork for the program, could use the names of some more nominees who need work done.

In its 11th year, the 'Tooling' program send crews of volunteers, including union members, businessmen, and others, around town to do whatever work is needed on the house of a recipient. Supplies are donated by Lowes, Home Depot, and other benefactors.

Anyone needing home repairs who fits into the guidelines is encouraged to fill out the short application and get it in as soon as possible.
