The seminar is being hosted by Steve Lonegan, state director of Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and a former mayor of Bogota. Lonegan also ran against Gov. Chris Christie in the Republican gubernatorial primary, after claiming Christie wasn't a conservative enough candidate.

"Courts Gone Wild" is a project of free-market think tank AFP, which includes a website that delineates arguments against the the NJ Supreme Court's intervention into state issues such as school funding and low income housing.

The seminar will detail "how decades of activist Supreme Court rulings have contributed to New Jersey’s economic decline, resulted in soaring state debt, and encumbered citizens with the worst tax burden in the entire nation," AFP said in a statement.

Upcoming vacancies on the New Jersey Supreme Court, including Christie’s nominations of Chatham Borough Mayor Bruce A. Harris and Executive Assistant Attorney General Philip Kwon, will also be discussed.
