Council to Vote on $244k in 'Flex Fuel' Vehicles Tonight

Some highlights from tonight's Woodbridge council meeting, to be held at 7 pm at town hall.

Here are some highlights from tonight's council agenda (you can obtain a copy of the agenda here):

  • Woodbridge's council will be voting on the first reading of an ordinance that will amend the licensing and regulation of the purchase of precious metals and gems.
  • The council will also endorse the submission of a municipal recycling grant to the DEP, and designate Bernard Peterson, Jr. as the township's recycling coordinator.
  • The council will authorize two Woodbridge police officers to obtain council for a 2010 civil rights lawsuit case, Shabazz vs. Woodbridge Police Dept.
  • The purchase of 11 'flex fuel' vehicles from a Delaware dealership for $214,544 and another from a Cherry Hill, NJ dealership for almost $30,000 will be on the agenda.
