SLIDESHOW: A Perfect Day for a St. Patrick's Day Parade

Could it have been any better Sunday in Woodbridge?

It was a week before the actual , but no one cared in Woodbridge Sunday. The Irish American Association couldn't have picked a more mild, sunny, perfect day for the annual event, and the 39th parade in the group's history.

"It's fantastic!" enthused one teenager on the sidelines as the parade rolled on by. Kids dressed up in their best kelly green hats and shirts, their parents relaxing in folding chairs, and even pets came out with St. Patrick's outfits.

The parade began at the  staging around at 1 pm, continued from Freeman Street to Linden Avenue, made a right onto Green Street and made a left on Amboy Avenue. The bands, floats, and marchers ended up on Main Street by .
