Police to Warn Students of Drinking and Driving

The police department is sponsoring an interactive program at all township high schools before prom.

With prom weekend right around the corner, the Woodbridge Police Department is hosting a “Don’t Be a Statistic Program,” at Woodbridge, JFK and Colonia high schools to warn students the dangers and consequences of drunk and distracted driving.

The program will feature students acting out drunk driving car wrecks with actual wrecked cars, police cars and ambulances. The scenario will explain the consequences of driving under the influence or driving distracted whether it be after prom or in the future.

Program dates:

Colonia High School at 8 a.m. on May 31.

JFK High School at 8 a.m. on June 6.

Woodbridge High School at 11 a.m. on June 14.
