Woodbridge Police Cars Collide Into One Another On the Way to a Call

There were no reports of serious injuries in the Sunday night accident.

Two cars crashed into one another last night on their way to a domestic violence call.

The police vehicles, each driven by one officer, cracked into one another at the intersection of Main St. and Howell Ave., near the National Guard Armory on upper Main St. The accident happened at approximately 7:30 pm Sunday night, Oct. 9.

"The radio cars were responding to a domestic violence complaint that was in progress," said Lt. Robert Brady. The call came about a home on Caswell Ave. in Fords, several blocks away from where the accident happened.

The police were racing to the domestic violence complaint when the accident occurred.

Brady couldn't confirm reports that one of the officers was "bleeding from the head" and required an ambulance. Brady said he believed that neither of the two officers involved in the accident required hospitalization.
