Woodbridge PD Holds First Open House Today

Ever see the inside of a police station? Today's your chance!


There is a way to get into jail without being arrested. The is holding its first-ever open house today from 11 am to 3 pm, and everyone is invited.Β 

It's a great way to find out what the inside of a jail cell looks like without being required to stay!

The open house, though, is much more. Police officers will be holding tours, located in the , every half hour from 11:15 am to 2:15 pm. Visitors will get to see the police department itself, the dispatch center, and the jail cells.Β

Did you know Woodbridge has its own SWAT team? The vehicles and eqiupment of the Special Operations Team, the township's version of a special tactical unit, will be on display.Β 

Fingerprinting by the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department and goody bags will be available for the kids, while their parents can peruse information on crime prevention, neighborhood watch programs, Reverse 911, and domestic violence at information tables at the complex.
