Woodbridge Man Pulls Knife on Security After Stealing Computer, Police Say

Renier Feliciano Jr. was arrested for the second time in less than a month on Monday.

A Woodbridge man pulled a knife on a security guard after stealing a desktop computer from a Linden Walmart Monday night, police said.

Renier Feliciano Jr., 32, was charged with robbery and weapons offenses. Alex Fontanez, 37, of Perth Amboy, was charged with same offenses and possession of a hypodermic needle, according to Linden Police. Both men are being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Walmart Loss Prevention personnel observed Feliciano and Fontanez on surveillance footage placing a desktop computer worth $998 in a shopping cart and walking out of the store, according to MyCentralJersey.com.

The two men fled into the parking lot and Fontanez jumped into a Nissan and tried to get onto Route 1&9, My Central Jersey reported.

As Feliciano reached the area near Lucille Roberts he pulled out a knife and threatened the officer, who then backed away, Linden Police Capt. James Sarnicki told NJ.com.

Feliciano and Fontanez were both apprehended a short time later.

Feliciano and another man were arrested on June 19 and charged with theft after stealing a woman’s purse from a Laundromat in Perth Amboy.
