Woodbridge Man Charged With Possession of Crack Cocaine

Vincent Labega attempted to hide evidence by throwing narcotics out the window.

Woodbridge Police charged a 32-year-old man with possession of crack/cocaine despite that man’s efforts to discard the evidence by throwing it out the window as officers entered his home, police said on Friday.

Vincent Labega was charged with possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and distribution of CDS within a school zone following an investigation conducted by the Woodbridge Police Department Special Investigations Unit.

Detectives executed a search warrant of Labega’s West Avenue home on Friday after obtaining a search warrant, police said.

As police entered his home, Labega attempted to get rid of evidence by throwing it out the window, officials said.

In the ensuing search, detectives discovered 10 grams of crack cocaine valued at $1,100, along with scales, drug paraphernalia and packaging material, police said. They also found $1,400 believed to have been made through the sale of narcotics, officials said.

Labega is being held on $50,000 full bail.
