Woodbridge After the Snow Storm: Schools Closed, Township Offices Open

The Woodbridge Community Center will open at noon today.

As Woodbridge digs out from nearly nine inches of snow, various places around town are either closed or opening on a delayed schedule. Here are some updates for what's happening around town today, Wednesday, Jan. 22:

  • Woodbridge Township municipal offices are open.
  • The Woodbridge Community Center has announced that they will open at noon.
  • Woodbridge schools are closed today. All after-school activities are canceled, according to the school district website
  • The Woodbridge Public Library is opening as normal today.
  • The Club at Woodbridge will open at 10 a.m.
  • Speed limits on the Parkway and Turnpike remain reduced as of 8:20 a.m. Wednesday.
Speaking of speed limits, please drive carefully. According to Cpt. Roy Hoppock of Woodbridge Police, 41 car accidents were reported in the last 24 hours around Woodbridge.

All were minor, Hoppock said.

The snow is over for now but the cold will stick around, with Wednesday predicted to have mostly sunny skies with a high of 17 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

However, wind chill will make it feel as cold as negative eight degrees.

Thursday will be partly sunny with a slight chance of snow showers after 1 p.m. and a high of 23 degrees, according to the forecast.
