Suspect captured in neighbor's yard, held on $75,000 bail.

A township woman arrived home to find a burglar in her house Wednesday morning.

Brian J. Williams, 34, of Smith Street in Perth Amboy was charged with burglary, posession of burglary tools, criminal mischief, and theft according to a police report.

Williams fled the scene when the woman arrived at her Third Avenue home at 10:22 AM.  The woman called the police, who arrived on the scene and located Williams hiding in one of the adjacent backyards.

Williams, who surrendered without incident, had items in his posession later identified as being from the Third Avenue burglary.

Williams is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections facility in North Brunswick on $75,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
