Victim Assaulted in Ice Rink Incident at Woodbridge Community Center

Police are on the lookout for an assailant who allegedly causes injuries to a victim at the ice hockey rink late last night.

Police confirmed that a victim was assaulted last night around midnight at the Arenas at Woodbridge in the Community Center. Police and EMS workers were dispatched to the scene, where the victim was initially reported to have suffered from injuries which may have included a leg fracture and head wound.

The ice hockey rink was being used at the time for practice sessions. It is unclear exactly whether the assault took place on the grounds or in the building

The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick for treatment.

Woodbridge police are still investigating the incident. Sgt. Todd Kutcher said that police are on the lookout for the alleged perpetrator.
