Turn in Old Pills Saturday During Prescription Take Back Day

Turn in old medications at town hall between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday.

Residents are encouraged to clean out their medicine cabinets and bring old and expired medication to town hall on Saturday for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

The Woodbridge Police Department will be at town hall between the hours of 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 to accept the old medications for safe disposal, according to a press release from the township. 

Unused and expired prescription drugs, liquids, pills, powders and unused syringes will be accepted. Prescription drugs should be in their original containers, if possible, according to the release.

The purpose of the event is to curb prescription drug abuse and misuse.

A previous take back event last April yielded over 47 pounds of medications surrendered to the Woodbridge Police Department, according to the release.
