Thieves Steal Auto's Tires and Leave the Car on the Rocks

The good news for a Woodbridge Terrace man is that thieves prowling around his property early Friday morning didn't break or injure his 2006 blue Acura. 

You'd never know anyone was even there - except that the late model automobile no longer had any tires or rims the next morning.

The car, which is owned by the father of the man who called police, was parked in the parking lot of the condo complex off Woodbridge Center Drive where he left it the night before. 

When he returned to the car at 7 am on Friday, the vehicle was missing all four tires and the wheel rims, and was neatly perched on four piles of rocks to hold it up while the thieves set about their tire removal in the early morning hours.

The stock rims and tires were valued at $1,000. Police said there was no apparent damage to the vehicle. There are no suspects at this time in the tire theft.
