Names Released of Bikers Charged in NJ Turnpike Chase Through Woodbridge

The chase began in Newark and ended in East Windsor.

State Police have released the names of the 15 bikers, all from out of state, who were charged in the 40-mile chase down the N.J. Turnpike through Woodbridge on Sunday.

According to nj.com, the 15 bikers were charged with eluding police, and two of them were charged with possession of a handgun. They were placed in Middlesex County jail and the motorcycles were impounded, according to nj.com.

The chase began in Newark, when the group allegedly prevented a state trooper from entering a station. When the trooper noticed one of the bikers didn't have visible tags, the other bikers formed a ring around their riding partner.

A 40-mile chase ensued before the bikers stopped of their own accord at mile marker 68.1, according to the report.

The biker the state trooper initially tried to stop was identified as Calvin Leak, 64, of Preston, Md. He was also charged with possession of a handgun, as was Michael Blick, 48, of Wilmington, Del., according to the report.
