State: Extra Cops, Emergency Officials Around, But Don't Worry

New Jersey OEM conducting a drill in Middlesex, other counties.

New Jersey's Office of Emergency Management says if you notice extra state police and emergency responders around, there's no cause for alarm.

Emergency officials will be conducting a drill to test first-responder deplayment and response capabilities until Friday in areas through Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Passaic, Morris, Union and Middlesex counties.

During the drill, there will be an increase in uniformed New Jersey State Police and local personnel, as well as emergency vehicles and resources in the those areas mentioned areas. Officials say this is not a cause for alarm, and no traffic delays are expected.
