Police are looking for Bernard McIntyre, 52, a Trenton resident who has been named as a suspect in the carjacking. A warrant has been issued for McIntyre on charges of carjacking and criminal restraint, said Edison Sgt. Robert J. Dudash, Jr. in a statement.
The 71-year-old cab driver, who works for Scooters Taxi Service, picked up a fare at Metropark in the Iselin section of the township approximately 1 pm on October 2.

The passenger wanted to be driven to New Brunswick, but once the cab driver arrived, the fare allegedly pulled a gun and forced him to drive to Trenton. Once there, the carjacker told the driver to turn over his cash, then dumped the driver and drove away with the vehicle.
The driver was not injured in the carjacking, and the taxi cab hasn't been recovered.
