Pedestrian Killed Monday Morning Near Perth Amboy Rail Station

Pedro Reyes-Tejada was struck by a minivan while crossing Smith Street near the Perth Amboy train station on Monday morning.

A Perth Amboy man was killed Monday morning while crossing a Perth Amboy street.

According to a press release from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, Pedro Reyes-Tejada, 34, of Perth Amboy was crossing Smith Street near the Perth Amboy train station when he was hit by a Chrysler minivan at 6:08 a.m. Monday.

He was pronounced dead at 6:58 a.m. at Raritan Bay Medical Center, according to the release.

Police are investigating and charges have not yet been filed, according to the release.
