Pawned Phones Lead to Woodbridge, Edison Robbery Arrests

Six people were arrested in connection with an armed robbery spree in the beginning of September in Woodbridge and Edison.

Police have arrested and charged a number of people in connection with a string robberies in Edison and Woodbridge after investigating two phones that were pawned at the Menlo Park Mall.

According to a report on NJ.com, authorities looked closely at two phones pawned at the Woodbridge Center Mall on September 11 and found they belonged to two people who had been robbed at knifepoint the day before in the parking lot of the Menlo Park Mall.

That robbery was linked to four other similar ones that occurred in Woodbridge Township between September 9 and September 10, including one at the Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge about 20 minutes prior to the Menlo Park Mall robbery, according to the report.

Six people were arrested and charged in connection with the Woodbridge Township robbery, and three of them were also charged in connection with a similar armed robbery that occurred on September 10 in Edison, according to the report.
