Wild Weather Forecast Now Through Monday

The National Weather Service is already issuing flood advisories for the area.

The National Weather service has put central New Jersey, including the and Middlesex County area, under a Flood Watch in anticipation of heavy rains, wind, and water coming our way.

Heavy rain is forecast to fall across the region beginning at 4 pm Sunday through Monday. Rainfall totals could run from 2 to 3-1/2 inches, with the higher amounts expected in the northern part of the state. Winds are to reach between 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

The National Weather Service said that although the region has had a lack of rainfall as of late, a sudden influx of rain could result in flooding streams and small rivers, along with the possibility of urban flooding.
