Man Arrested for Woodbridge Community Center Thefts

Sean T. Webster was arrested in connection with a slew of thefts of personal items at the Woodbridge Community Center.

Police have arrested one person in connection with a rash of thefts from the Woodbridge Community Center.

Sean T. Webster, 27, of Woodbridge was arrested at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 as he left the Woodbridge Community Center, according to a press release from the Woodbridge Police Department.

Police found him to be in possession of a number of forms of personal documentation from different people, including driver's licenses, vehicle registration and credit cards, according to the release.

He was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, Credit Card Theft, Fraudulent Use of Credit Card and Burglary, according to the release.
Webster is not an employee of the center, said Det. Roy Hoppock of Woodbridge Police.

It appeared that he would take the stolen items from places around the busy center, like coat pockets, open lockers and bags left out in open areas, Hoppock said.

He was jailed at the Middlesex County Jail on $75,000 bail, with no 10 percent option, according to the release.

Police continue to investigate.
