Car Thieves Crash, Caught After Foot Chase, Cops Say

Two juveniles were arrested by Woodbridge Police for allegedly stealing a car out of Perth Amboy.

Two juveniles driving a stolen vehicle struck a parked car while trying to evade officers before being caught when they attempted to run away, police said.

The two juveniles were issued juvenile complaints and motor vehicle violations, Capt. Roy Hoppock said. He added the investigation was then turned over to the juvenile bureau.

Woodbridge Police attempted to pull over a stolen 1994 Saturn near Garden Avenue, when it struck a parked car at about 10 p.m., according to Hoppock.Β The three juveniles in the vehicle, which was stolen in Perth Amboy, ditched the car on Garden AvenueΒ and ran toward Watson Avenue, Hoppock said.

Two of three juveniles were found after a short foot pursuit, Hoppock said, but the third was not located.
