Individual Arrested with Handgun at D'Gala Bar In New Brunswick

A man was arrested at the D'Gala Bar in New Brunswick for having a handgun, police said.

On July 5 at approximately 1:15 am a New Brunswick police officer, assigned to an extra-duty post at the D’Gala Bar at 156 Commercial Ave. observed a patron exit the bar with a handgun in his hand. The patron appeared to be angered and yelling at another individual inside the bar.

The officer was able to command the patron to put the gun on the ground and surrender to the officer. The armed patron was identified as Andres Moreno-Tix from Plainfield, NJ. He is 24 years of age. He is charged with Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
