Hummer Hits Woman in Fords 7-11 and Leaves the Scene

Woodbridge police are looking for anyone with information on the driver of the vehicle.

A Keasbey woman was injured by a black Hummer with a silver grille in the parking lot of the new 7-11 on New Brunswick Avenue in Fords.

The 30-year-old woman was walking across the parking lot Friday morning when the Hummer backed up and hit her on her side, said Captain Roy Hoppock.

"The driver looked at her, saw she wasn't dead, and he left the scene," Hoppock said.

No one in the vicinity got the plates of the vehicle that hit the woman, who was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway for treatment.

Police looked at the videos taken by the store's security cameras, and while they did show the encounter between the woman and the Hummer, they didn't catch the vehicle's license plates.

Anyone with any information on the Hummer should call Woodbridge Police at 732-634-4500.
