Flooding In Middlesex, Mercer Counties: Streets Closed, Reopened

The rainfall that washed much of Mercer and Middlesex counties Saturday caused flooding on a number of streets in Princeton, South Brunswick and elsewhere.

In Princeton, Mercer Road has been reopened. However additional rainfall accumulations will likely result in an additional closure.

River Road closed between Blue Spring Road in Montgomery and Herrontown Road in Princeton were closed due to flooding, and officials also recommended avoiding Quaker Street because of water.

in South Brunswick, water has receded from Deans Lane and is now reopened. Deans Lane was closed in both directions at the Deans Lane Bridge due to flooding. DPW and the County were on scene attempting to resolve the problem.
