Driver Killed Sunday in Woodbridge Parkway Crash

A man traveling northbound on the Parkway died last night in a single-car accident in Woodbridge, the New Jersey State Police say.


A man driving on the Garden State Parkway near a Woodbridge exit was killed Sunday night in a single-car collision.

Around 8:30 pm, the driver of a Honda Accord was traveling northbound on the toll road when he apparently lost control of the vehicle next Exit 129, said Sgt. Adam Grossman, New Jersey State Police spokesman.

"The car went off the road in the right lane, then bounced back to the left lane where it hit the center median," Grossman said.

The vehicle came to rest on the left shoulder of the roadway, he said.

The driver was pronounce dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld by police pending notification of the victim's family, Grossman added.

The accident is still under investigation.
