Boyfriend of Superior Court Judge From Woodbride Indicted on Robbery, Weapons Charges

A Monroe man faces charges of first-degree robbery and two weapons possession charges, and his girlfriend is charged with harboring a fugitive, my centraljersey.com reports.

The legal matter cuts a little deeper, in this instance. The man’s girlfriend is a Superior Court judge from Woodbridge, according to the report.

Jason Prontnicki, 41, was indicted on the charge in connection with the April 29 robbery of a pharmacy in Old Bridge using a crowbar, according to the report.

His girlfriend, 41-year-old Carla M. Brady, is charged with harboring a fugitive in her home for an hour without contacting police, according to the report.

She has been suspended without pay, but claims she didn’t know Prontnicki was a fugitive, according to the report.

Brady is the first Filipino-American to be appointed to the position of judge in the state and makes $165,000 a year, according to nj.com.

Protnicki previously plead guilty in November to receiving stolen property from doctors and using forged prescriptions to obtain narcotics, according to nj.com.
