Robin Hood Was Still a Hood!

I am a Republican, and while I don't have any millionaire friends that I know of, I don't see wealthy people as a threat to my well-being or my welfare.

What makes certain politicians think that millionaires or the truly wealthy don't pay their fair share of taxes?  Indeed, how do we know that they aren't already paying more than their fair share?  If the top one percent of income earners pay 40% of total tax revenue to the government, would 50% or 75% be more fair?  At what point would making an already progressive tax system even more progressive damaging to the economy?

I am a Republican, and while I don't have any millionaire friends that I know of, I don't see wealthy people as a threat to my well-being or my welfare.  I don't begrudge them their wealth; in fact, I admire their accomplishments and thank God for a relatively free enterprise system that rewards effort and innovation.  I am less appreciative of politicians who enrich themselves and their special interests at the expense of public interest. And I question taking more money from any sector and giving it to a government that has a history of waste, fraud, and corruption.

Instead of 'Tax the Millionaire, Tax the Millionaire!',  please join me in a chorus of 'Cut Government Spending! Cut Government Spending!'
