Jennifer Ann Moore McCarthy of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township, N.J., passed away on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, N.J. She was 46.
The funeral will take place at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, from the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel St. at Demorest Ave., Avenel, N.J., www.costello-koyen.com, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours will be Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Rahway, N.J., Jennifer resided in Avenel and Colonia, N.J., all of her life. She was employed as a hairdresser for various salons in the area, including The Cutting Edge in Sewaren, N.J., and Albert's in Woodbridge. She was a communicant of St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel.
Jennifer was predeceased by her father, Stephen Moore Sr., in 1998. She is survived by three children, Tara McCarthy, Courtney McCarthy and Brian McCarthy, all of Avenel; a granddaughter, Mia McCarthy; her mother, Barbara Gabrish Moore of Avenel; two brothers, Stephen Moore Jr. of Avenel and Robert Moore of Belvidere, N.J., and her best friend and fiance, Kenneth Wallace.
