Daniel Galbraith was born in Rahway and worked as a systems technician for the Verizon Corporation in Woodbridge for over 30 years before retiring in 2001.

Daniel N. Galbraith, 67, of Monroe Township, N.J., died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at the Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg, N.J. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Born in Rahway, N.J., Mr. Galbraith lived in Holmdel, N.J., for many years before moving to Monroe Township in 1985. He was employed for over 30 years as a systems technician for the Verizon Corporation, Woodbridge, N.J., retiring in 2001. Mr. Galbraith was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Specialist 4th class. He was a former member of the Republican Club of Monroe Township.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Irene Kopec; his brother, Charles M. Galbraith of Maineville, Ohio; his sister, Charlotte M. Galbraith of Holmdel, and his two nephews, Ian Galbraith and his wife, Jen, and their daughters, Abigail, Rachael and Victoria, and Sean Galbraith.
